I am a PhD student in Bioinformatics funded by President’s Doctoral Scholar Award at the University of Manchester. My main research interest is on multiomics analysis of cancer signatures and development of machine learning methods to analyse spatial omics data in cancer for early detection and diagnosis. My current project involves analysis of multiomics signatures of oesophageal cancer in Kenya (more details here), supervised by David Wedge, Rob Bristow and Esther Njoki Maina. I have previously worked as a visiting research associate at the University of York on computational structure based functional annotation of protein structures using machine learning methods at the Daniel Jafferes lab
