I am a Research Associate and Lead Software Developer in Cancer Informatics with more than 20 years of working experience in the information technology and services industry, focused mainly on identity management projects for large government organizations.
I got a Ph.D. in computer science from the University of Manchester with research on data integration through feedback collection. I participated in a nation-wide UK project for the Institute of Coding (IoC), an initiative that aims to promote digital skills and break down the barriers to digital learning and employment. In the IoC project, my work was focused on improving the learning experience for Software Engineering students.
I am interested in applying my data science and industry experience to improve software packages and processes used for Cancer Research, and potentiate the analysis outcomes for direct applicability on clinical environments. Other research interests include fuzzy algorithms, data integration, and software engineering.
