Visiting Postdoctoral Researcher

University of Manchester

I am a Lecturer from Faculty of Informatics and Computing, Universiti Sultan Zainal Abidin (Malaysia) since 2015. I have completed my PhD in Mathematical Sciences at Universiti Malaysia Terengganu. My major research lies in the area of fuzzy expert systems, fuzzy decision making, social statistics and data analytics.

Currently, I am a Visiting Postdoctoral Researcher at Manchester Cancer Research Centre, University of Manchester where I work with David Wedge in the field of Cancer Genomics and Data Science.

My work focuses on applying machine learning, deep learning and statistical techniques to make novel discoveries across a wide range of cancer types. My target is to analyse data from Whole Genome Sequencing (WGS) experiments to identify genomic features that drive tumour evolution, with my focus on lung and prostate cancers.

My goal is to develop and master a wide range of machine learning, deep learning and data science skills and techniques across different omics types.
